half the season. Incomplete registrations will be placed on a waiting list. The
registration fee is non-refundable.

Home
Fields:
Every
team is RESPONSIBLE for securing a
field for all home games.
Required number of dates: Men-minimum
of 7 field dates Women
& COED-minimum of 6 field dates
Area Recreation Department: Area recreation departments begin
accepting ball field applications starting on January 2, 2010. Teams interested in these fields should
apply as soon as possible! Generally, these ball fields are only available to
corporations, which are located in their town. Other considerations for
acquiring a home field include 1) The local school district 2) Non-public
schools 3) Privately owned fields (industries, churches, etc.). Feel free to
call MCIRA should you have any questions regarding fields.
General
Information:
1. Company
game shirts are required. Please
order uniforms by early March.
Uniforms generally take vendors 6-8 weeks for delivery.
2. No
metal spikes allowed.
3. Catchers
are required to wear a facemask.
4. Necessary
equipment to be supplied by the team includes:
bats, score keeping, uniforms, catcher’s mask, first aid kit, chest protector
(women only). Home team responsibilities:
bases, home plate, pitcher’s plate and depending on which field checking out
the condition of the playing field.
5. Single
games start at 6:05pm unless stated on your schedule. Double headers start at
5:30pm unless stated on your schedule.
6. The
minimum age requirement to participate in MCIRA is 18 years of age.
7. “Contractors”
or “Suppliers” in any company are NOT
eligible to compete.
8. The men’s league will play a 14-week season.
The COED leagues will play a 12-week season.
Women’s league to be determined.
9. COED ONLY:
The number of players during a game shall have a ratio of 5 male/4 female or 4
male/5 female. A team is permitted to play with 3 female/male players, but
there is a penalty to do so.
10. Rules
and Regulations will be handed out a later time and will contain more
information.
11.
Registration
fees include 16 game softballs for men, 14 game softballs for women/coed teams.
12. Playoffs:
Every team who fully participates in the regular season will qualify
into a playoff tournament.

In order
to register a team in the MCIRA Softball League, each team MUST submit a
notarized waiver form. No faxed copies of rosters will be accepted and for
companies with additional teams please duplicate the waiver form.
